Posting to Sell My House in Houston

Friends told me I should start posting to sell my house in Houston online. That’s the way to go, they said. Everyone shops online for real estate now. I couldn’t argue with that, of course. But I want to sell my property myself to avoid paying a real estate commission.

Selling “by owner” online requires a lot of work by the homeowner, or by someone else helping them. Excellent photos come first. Arranging the house and getting good photos of each room is quite time consuming, especially if you are not familiar with staging, or arranging rooms to capture the most flattering photos. Having an eye for a good camera shot makes a big difference when you’re in the photography phase of selling a house online.

Apparently, it does not work for everyone, meaning it may not work for the homeowner or it may not work for their house.
